New Template Design Window

The New Template Design Window option, available from the Window menu, opens a second window displaying the template of the open document. This allows you to have two or more views of the same template, or of two different templates in the same document. For example, in one window, you may display the template at its actual size while displaying in a second window a view of the same template zoomed in at 200% to make it easier to add and modify objects on the template. Or perhaps, you may wish to view both the front and back sides of an item that you are designing. Both of these examples can be accomplished using the New Template Design Window option.

As you add new windows of an open document, BarTender indicates the number of the open windows by displaying a colon and number directly after the document file name (e.g., Document1.btw:1, Document1.btw:2). BarTender helps you keep track of open windows by displaying the document file name and the window number (if applicable), in one of three locations:

The New Template Design Window option does not create a new document; it simply opens a second window to display the already opened document. To start a new document, select the New option from the File menu or click the icon on the main toolbar.
